Super weegschaalIk ben zelf al jaren actief als timmerman en sjouw hele dagen met hout, gipsplaten en ander spul. Dacht altijd dat ik wel in vorm was, maar toen ik die TANITA RD-953 in huis haalde... nou, die zette me even met beide benen op de grond.
Wat een ding, joh. Hij meet niet alleen je gewicht, maar ook spiermassa, vetpercentage, visceraal vet (had geen idee wat dat was, maar blijkt buikvet te zijn), en zelfs je metabolische leeftijd. Blijkt dat ik van binnen 10 jaar jonger ben dan m’n echte leeftijd. Goed voor mijn egoPublicado en

Gave weegschaalWat een gave weegschaal. Niet alleen de kleur is gaaf, (Platinum) maar ook hoe hij er in het algemeen eruit ziet.
Deze weegschaal gekocht om meer uit de metingen te halen dan alleen gewicht en BMI.
Had eerst onderzoek gedaan op internet wat nou een goed merk is voor lichaamsanalyse, en daar kwam dit merk uit. TANITA! Ik ben verder gaan lezen, en zag dat ze ook professionele producten maken voor sportscholen, ziekenhuizen enz. Dus dat moet goed zijn.
Overzichtelijke app die precies aangeeft wat je waardes zijn en ook uitlegt op welk niveau je bent.

Top weegschaal!Ik heb deze weegschaal aangeschaft ivm revalidatie, omgooien levensstijl en monitoring hierop. En mede door frequent meten is het me gelukt mijn doelen te behalen (-17kg, -12,5% lichaamsvet, -4.5% visceraal vet, BMI van 27,7 naar 22,8). Hij is niet goedkoop, maar in mijn ogen elke cent waard als je serieus (goed) inzicht wilt krijgen. Per app connect je met de weegschaal, gaat er op staan en een paar seconde later hebt je al de complete meting. Resultaten staan direct en overzichtelijk in de app en je hele historie / voortgang is terug te zien. Per dag, week, maand of vanaf 1e meetmoment. Dagmetingen zijn ook als PDF rapport te exporten, om door te sturen naar bv. fysio of diëtist. Ik vind het echt een top apparaat!

Fabuloso!Estoy encantada de tener esta bascula y de toda la información que proporciona, especialmente sobre la masa y la calidad muscular. He estado entrenando bastante y mi peso no ha cambiado mucho, pero mi masa y calidad muscular han mejorado mucho y mi cintura se ha reducido. Compartí los resultados de mi báscula Tanita RD-953 con mi médico de cabecera y mi fisioterapeuta, y ambos quedaron impresionados. Las mediciones que proporciona la Tanita ofrecen una visión más precisa de mi salud. Estoy tan impresionada con la bascula que le he contado a todos mis amig@s sobre la báscula y pienso comprarla para cada uno de mis hijos adultos. Es una excelente manera de mantener una vida saludable.

UsefulThis scales allows me to keep an eye on my weight and associated statistics to do with my visceral fat, percentage water, muscle mass and quality etc. as I adjust my eating (and shopping) habits to be more healthy. Very useful.

Excellent tracking scalesMy first impressions of my Tanita scales are excellent, they look sleek and stylish in my bathroom. I love the digital display and how it syncs with the Tanita App. The app provides me with a detailed look at my body stats and clearly shows when I’ve been losing weight while building muscle mass. It’s very interesting looking at the BMI and water levels in my body especially now I’m on a weight loss plan.
I can’t wait to continue using the scales with the app and will get my husband set up so we can
Track our progress together. I like that you can switch between weight measurements and even add the weight of your phone so it doesn’t include that in your final weight measurement. Overall a great piece of kit for any fitness enthusiast or anyone wanting to track their measurements.Publicado en

Great piece of kitOn opening the box I was impressed with the careful packing. I love the design and the display is very clear. I took a while to set up because it didn't make it clear that you didn't need to turn it on before syncing. I would have liked to see a more informative booklet explaining about the different readings and what they all meant. But these are on the superb website.
Having so many different readings has made me think about the readings and how to improve my health and fitness.
I have been taking readings daily after a bath wearing the same clothes and am concerned sometimes about the difference in readings in particular for weight and metabolic age. But I have found the muscle quality and heart rate very useful.
Overall I have enjoyed using this but I think because of the price it is more geared to athletes or people who are concerned about various readings to improve their fitness.Publicado en

A good productI’m over a year deep into my ‘healthier lifestyle journey’ now and my scales had broken so I was trawling the internet for a new set. I came across Tanita and decided to give them a go.
I loved how neatly they came boxed, they seemed professional quality and unpacking them felt like diving into Aladdins cave!
On first use, I really appreciated the size of these scales - they had a larger surface area which meant that they didn’t tip to one side so easily when I stood on them. I love the colour choices you get for the scales and ventured into a lovely bright white instead of my traditional black selection.
I did find that the instructions were quite vague in the functionality of these scales and so it did take some fiddling with the buttons to work out what did what but I quickly got there. The measurements that the scales offer are extensive which means that tracking my stats regularly was effortless. However, the app for these does seem a bit glitchy and doesn’t always connect straight away. I feel like the product design and idea is great but would be amazing if it was more refined.Publicado en

Great productI have been using these scales for a few weeks now and am pleasantly surprised. Aside from just measuring weight, these scales allowed me to have a full analysis of my body composition and gave me a really good picture of my current state. The ability to measure muscle mass and quality in such a way is new to me and I am amazed by it! It was super easy to set up too, and track measurements over time. I can see these scales being a vital component in my health and fitness.

Very impressedI have to say I was positively impressed with the new scale. It arrived quickly, and after the initial setup, which took me about 3 minutes, I was able to use it. I installed the app without an issue, but it took 2 tries to connect the scale via Bluetooth. Something I really liked was that this scale came with the necessary batteries already included. Once that was working and I stepped on it, I got my first results immediately and was able to see them all in the app. I can definitely see myself using it more than my I old scale.
The design is very pretty, sleek, and modern. It is slightly heavier than expected, though. I loved that the app not only shows the results in numbers but graphs. I'm a visual person, so this feature is very appealing to me. I also found it very interesting to see measurements such as muscles and bone, which I had never taken of myself. Fantastic scalesI have used the scales now for a few weeks and I love them. The scales were easy to set up and connect to the app. At first I thought I had to reconnect to Bluetooth every time I used scales but just had to wait a few seconds and it connected itself. The features on the scales are fantastic also tracks all results every time so you can see if measurements have improved and what you need to work on. All

TanitaI received Tanita very quickly, only two days. My first impression was that the design is amazing, I love the colours and the lights, Combine silver and black with the blue lights are perfect. I uploaded the app and connected it to the Tanita, On the app I can trace all my measurements, and the different measurements are great. Tanita is not only a scale , it can measure the water level in the body, which was very useful when I had a flue, I could check if I drank enough water. The next important thing is that I can measure muscle mass and the quality of my muscles, this is very useful when I do some training and I was impressed about my level. Also connecting other people is very useful, because we can start the training and support each other with the progress for better life and body. I fully recommend Tanita

Compact and mightyThe scales are visually attractive and look a little like something from a science fiction movie. No problem leaving them out. The scales are lightweight and portable. A lot of marketing material came with the scales, but unfortunately there weren’t any instructions included (even just short ones to say to download the app and how to set up would have been good). It took a while to connect to the app so was slightly frustrating. It is sometimes fiddly to connect the scales to the app, often erroring I would say 50% of the time. The error messages have codes but no idea what they mean or how look them up which isn’t a great experience. The font is also a bit odd so sometimes difficult to read. Once connected, it measures incredibly quickly. This is probably my favourite thing about the scales. It means you can measure yourself daily without any excuses. I love that it provides many different measurements like body fat, visceral fat, muscle mass and body water. It’s very helpful to have these recorded in the app and the trend graphs are very handy. The app is easy to navigate. I’m not convinced about the accuracy of the fat and muscle mass measurements though - they have varied wildly from day to day which is not what I would expect. Overall the trends over a longer period of time are very useful though. Amazing amount of measurements for such compact scales. Great for the home.

Wow! The perfect scales!I purchased my Tania RD-953 and eagerly anticipated their arrival as part of my January new year’s resolution to be more healthy. The scales arrived on time as expected and were very well packaged. They came with the batteries required! Always a great touch!
My daughter immediately recognised the brand, as these are the same make as the equipment used at her gym, which gave my Tania RD-953 the kudos to be of interest to every member of our household.
Setting up the scales to our phones was a little tricky, possibly due to our over enthusiasm, but once done it was easy to use and switching from person to person very easy.
The app saves your details and measurements enabling you to keep a track of your progress and as stated on the website “RD-953 This accurate connected body composition scale provides insight into over 10 different body measurements, including the innovative and unique muscle quality score.” these scales do exactly this!
We could not fault the design, quality and accuracy of these scales!
The whole family have continued to use them and our results have become a good motivator for us all.

Précis, répétable, ergonomique et completCette machine est tout à fait précise (moins de 100g d'écart entre 2 pesées sur cette machine ou une de référence), répétable (les valeurs données par l'impédancemètre sont stables entre 2 mesures, ce qui n'était pas le cas de ma précédente balance à 80€), ergonomique et complète dans les données qu'elles mesurent (pour un non sportif).
L'appli est très bien, simple mais largement suffisante.
J'aime beaucoup la possibilité de récupérer, sur mon compte Internet associé à l'appli Android, mes données en format CSV afin de pouvoir les retraiter moi-même à l'aide d'un tableur.Publicado en

Waage super, aber minus 1 Stern für die AppWaage: Leichte Handhabung, gutes Design und verständlicher Messablauf (auch die autom. Personenerkennung funktioniert gut).
Ein Stern Abzug dafür, dass die Android App MyTanita Version 4.0.8 die offline gespeicherten Daten in der Waage nicht empfangen kann.
D.h. es gibt einen Speicher von 10 Mess-Datensätzen pro Person im Gerät, aber diese können weder am Gerät noch via App abgerufen werden.
Lt. Customer-Support funktionert die Übertragung nur mit IPhones.
Positiv ist, dass man sich die Messergebnisse aus der App per email als CSV-Datei zuschicken lassen kann.

Best scale everWonderful product, precise, thougthfully constructed, of course, due to the price - but you get value for the money. Setup did not work easily, but now it is really something I did not know before that it exists. Forget al the cheaper ones from China etc.

Prima meting helaas geen integratie met GarminDe weegschaal doet wat hij moet doen. Fijn nauwkeurige metingen. Helaas is er geen synchronisatie met de garmin connect app waardoor ik nog steeds alle data handmatig moet overzetten.

Fijne weegschaalNa eerst even "studeren" (wat meeviel) en de app downloaden ben ik nu op gang met de weegschaal. Ik ben heel tevreden. Hij weegt heel precies. Alle cijfers zijn goed leesbaar, ook voor mij op leeftijd en zonder leesbril. Hij herkent mij als ik erop stap. Heel fijn. Fijn dat je ook zo maar even tussendoor kunt wegen, zonder de app aan te zetten en alles te bekijken. Hij slaat deze meting zelfs op, zodat die bij de eerstvolgende keer verbinden met de app alsnog in het rijtje van metingen terecht komt.
Ik zal iets te vaak wegen nu (3x per week), omdat ik zelf wil kijken wat voor invloed mijn vochtgehalte heeft op de rest. Dat is veel. Het is dus echt zaak om steeds op hetzelfde tijdstip te wegen en dan consequent wel/niet gedronken te hebben en/of wc-gebruik.
Ik heb hem nog te kort om de effecten voor de langere termijn te kunnen meten. Wel vind ik het heel fijn dat mijn visceraal vet nu al omlaag is, net als mijn BMI. Fijn dat dit allemaal in 1x zichtbaar is. Ook was ik heel blij te constateren dat ik sterke botten heb!
Ik kan deze weegschaal zeker aanraden.
Wel had ik het fijn gevonden als er iets meer personen in het geheugen ingevoerd zouden kunnen worden. Dat is nu maar 4.Publicado en

Very usefull insightsThe TANITA RD-953 scale is impressively accurate. Tracking my measurements biweekly has revealed a gradual decrease in my metabolic age, which is truly rewarding. The user-friendly app enhances the experience, and any connection errors I encountered were typically due to my forgetfulness to turn on Bluetooth.
